A.L.P.A.C.A. Spring Show

This year we attended the A.L.P.A.C.A. Spring show at Northlands-- we brought Eos and Athena up for their shearing demonstration, their fibre then went on to be prepared, spun and then made into a shawl and scarf. The girls were a big hit-- Eos even made it into the Saturday Edmonton Journal and the Vancouver sun! (for those unable to see the vancouver sun links, screenshots of the photos can be found here.)

We brought down Mojito and Rock to compete-- although neither took home any ribbons, they did very well during the weekend. Mojito was very good, he too was a big hit with everyone, allowing children and adults alike to pet and handle him-- even the most boisterous of children he let pet him, without acting up once! He stood perfectly in the ring, let the judge go over him without incident.

Both he and Eos also took part in the fun obstacle course class-- while Eos wasn't sure she wanted to follow Mackenzie over the obstacles (A jump, steps, weave-cones and ducking), Mojito did manage to complete the course, only skipping the steps.

All in all it was a very fun weekend, everyone enjoyed themselves, and we are looking forward to heading up to the Futurity in April.
